BECAUSE OF COVID-19 AND VARIANTS THE DRIL PROJECT PLAN HAS HAD TO BE EXTENDED AND EXTENDED - SO IN SEPTEMBER ON THE ESTONIA EXCHANGE THE 3 SCHOOLS CAME UP WITH A RADICAL PLAN TO ACCOMODATE TIMETABLES AND OTHER PROJECTS -
LET'S GO BACK TO BACK!!
SO, ON APRIL 25 THE STUDENTS FROM V2V VENTSPILS AND TKVG TALLINN MEET UP AT RIGA AIRPORT TO FLY TOGETHER TO MTR IN ÓLAFSFJORDðU IN ICELAND.
THEN, AFTER WHAT PROMISES TO BE AN AMAZING WEEK,
ALL 3 SCHOOLS FLY TO RIGA AND HOP A BUS TO VENTSPILS, AGAIN FOR WHAT PROMISES TO BE A GREAT SUITE OF EXPERIENCES
EXHAUSTED, BUT HAPPY THE STUDENTS OF MTR AND TKVG HEAD BACK TO RIGA TO RETURN TO THIER HOMES. CARRYING WITH THEM OUR BEST WISHES AND HOPEFULLY THE FOND MEMORIES OF NEW FRIENDS AND LOTS OF EXPERIENCES.
TEACHING STAFF MEETING : VENTSPILS [CONDUCTED LARGELY ONLINE OVER A SERIES OF MONTHS FROM AUGUST 2020 TO AUGUST 2021] - DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS
YES IT HAS BEEN A YEAR!!! SOME KIND OF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN HELD. WE ARE GETTING IN HIGH SPIRITS AS WE HAVE CONCLUDED A SUCCESSFUL DIGITAL STUDENT EXPERIENCE IN MARCH WITH ICELAND AS OUR DIGITAL HOSTS.

CONTRIBUTING AS COORDINATOR. MEMBERS OF THE TEACHING TEAM HAVE CONSIDERABLE EXPERTISE IN POST PROJECT DISSEMINATION AND THE PRODUCTION OF COMMUNICATION MATERIALS FOR THE WIDER ACADEMIC COMMUNITY. ADDITIONALLY THERE IS EXPERIENCE OF REMOTE TEAM WORKING AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT.
PREPARATORY VISIT (HAS OCCURRED DIGITALLY DUE TO COVID AND EXTENDED OVER SEVERAL MONTHS IN A SERIES OF ZOOM MEETINGS0
THE PROJECT IS AMBITIOUS INASMUCH AS IT PUTTING INTO PLAY - HOW SUBJECTS ARE TAUGHT, WHERE STUDENTS WORK, HOW STUDENTS WORK AND HOW THE VARIOUS AGENTS COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER AS WELL AS SHIFTING THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR STUDENT PERFORMANCE TOWARDS THE STUDENT. DEFINING THE FINE DETAIL OF THIS WILL BE THE CENTRAL SUBJECT FOR THE PREPARATORY MEETING.HOW THE TEACHING TEAM WILL OPERATE AND HOW WILL IT BE COMPOSED.
HOW WILL SPECIALIST TEACHERS HAVE INPUT INTO THE LESSONS PRODUCED.
WHAT IS THE SCOPE AND DETAIL OF THE PROJECT THE STUDENTS WILL WORK ON.

STUDENT STUDY VISIT 01 SEPTEMBER 27- OCTOBER 01 2021 ESTONIA
Students are introduced to the Teaching team, the academic study project and their project team
colleagues. Students engage in team building exercises and their performance is evaluated with a view
of refining the teams. Students practice the skills of self and peer evaluation in a series of short tasks -
practical and academic. Students introduced to the project management ICT infrastructure. The outcome
being a set of student teams and skill profiles.

STUDENT WEBINAR / TEAM TEACHING EVENT OCTOBER 2020 [MARCH 2021]
The academic project is detailed for the students to consider and project briefing papers are issued.
Teams then work in separate discussion rooms facilitated by teaching staff to identify the tasks required
to be achieved and organise roles, responsibilities and deliverables for the first 4 weeks activity - the
outcome being a project plan of some description against which progress can be assessed.
STUDENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT "MEETINGS [ON LINE]" OCTOBER 2020 TO FEB 2021
Using ICT tools like Adobe Connect / WhatsApp [or other propriatory systems as appropriate [see
Teaching Workshop 01] students assign tasks monitor achievement / completion and evaluate
performance using a mix of forms / audio-video diaries. Students can use these meeting to identify
support they need from academic staff and who they wish to provide this.
STUDY VISIT 02 - THE HALF WAY POINT - ICELAND aprIL 2022 [turning up the heat] - 1ST HALF OF BACK-2-BACK!!!
Teams meet to present work completed for assessment by academic staff and to gain additional direction
for reaching the final deliverable. This meeting will give students an opportunity to work in a face-to-
face setting on various elements of the project and to report on their own contribution and needs to the
other team members. Teams will conduct peer reviews during this study visit as well as review individual
consultations with the teams' mentors.
STUDENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT "MEETINGS" MARCH 2021 TO MAY 2021
Students meet in online environments to show progress and assign further tasks towards achievement
of the overall goal which can be monitored and evaluated using a mix of forms / audio-video diaries.
Students can use these meeting to identify support they need from academic staff and who they wish to
provide this.

FINAL STUDY VISIT 03 - 2ND HALF OF BACK-2-BACK VENTSPILS april-MAY 2022
- bringing all the work together to create the final PIECE.
All teams work on and present their project's final deliverables for summative assessment.
Students evaluate from a user's point of view the method of working, the support and guidance provided,
difficulties and challenges faced and how these were overcome and finally their recommendations
for wider implementation. In parallel the teaching team will convene to mirror the students' project
evaluations and present their formative reviews of the project as it progressed. This material will inform
the final project report and recommendations for dissemination and contribution to best practice.
